What’s new

  • Openweather (OWM) support

    Openweather can now be selected as the weather source. This brings weather to the devices that don’t support Garmin’s weather.

    You will need to provide your own OWM API key to get the Openweather data.

    PLEASE NOTE that not every OWM API key will work with Gradient.

    OWM API key created with the free “Current weather and forecasts collection” subscription after mid-2022 will not work due to OWM policy changes. If you have a key created earlier, it should work.

    Alternatively, you can subscribe to “One Call by Call” plan for One Call API 3.0. This subscription comes with 1,000 API calls per day for free, and Gradient will not exceed 200 calls per day.

  • UV index

    This is only available if you use Openweather, since Garmin weather data does not include UV.


  • Body battery graph (24h)

    Available on compatible devices only.


  • Barometric pressure graph (6h)

    Available only on devices with barometric sensor.


  • Next calendar event

    Available on the newer devices that support Garmin’s System 6.


  • Launching widgets by screen press

    Available on the touchscreen devices that support Garmin’s System 6.

    This feature is disabled by default. It can be activated to react to a single or double screen press.

  2. Hi I really like this dial but after a while a key appears in the time section and I can’t see the time anymore. How can I fix? I have a forerunner 955 solar

    Thank you for choosing Gradient!
    Maybe your OWM key doesn’t work with Gradient, and that’s why you don’t get an update and don’t get the UVI?
    You need a key created before Aug 2022, or One Call API 3.0. If you created the 3.0 key just now, it may take some hours before it becomes activated on OWM servers.
    Gradient tries to update OWM every 15 minutes.

  4. Hi love the watch face but UV Index does not work with OMW. UV INDEX was the main reason I bought Pro… :/ Would also be fantastic if it was possible to set the refresh times for the weather data fields. It is over two hours and it has not updated. Could this be fixed?

    This means some ‘premium’ option are being used without a valid unlock key.

    There are several options to deal with this:

    1) Choose the Ukraine color theme and all functions will be unlocked, except the blue and yellow data foreground
    2) Do not select any ‘premium’ options (those marked with a key icon in the settings or with an asterisk in the settings on the watch)
    3) Get an unlock key here: https://reed.works/gradient-unlock/

  6. It has a key where the time should be and I am of sure how to fix that. Do I seed to pay? How?
